All of the posters and brochures
produced for the TBM, whose content
can be found at tbm.org.tr, were sent
free of charge to those who made a
request via the website. Approximately
8million brochures and 50,000 posters
were distributed every year.
TBM coordinators share their
experiences
In order to improve the TBM
coordinators’ knowledge in the field
of addiction, and to motivate them
and address the challenges they face
in the field, the TBM Coordinators
Capacity Building Program was
implemented,
hosted
by
Green
Crescent. Within the framework of
the program implemented in June
2019, members and trainers of Green
Crescent Scientific Committee and
experts from Green Crescent Training
and Counseling Center (YEDAM) made
presentations and delivered training
courses. In addition to the training
provided,
activities
to
increase
motivation were added to the program
and the challenges faced in the field
were discussed.
Approximately 60,000 scouts
receive TBM training
At the youth camps organized by the
Scouting and Guiding Federation of
Turkey, Green Crescent has provided
TBM
training
to
approximately
60,000 organization members to
date, aiming to protect them from
addiction. Since 2013 around 80
Green Crescent volunteers have been
providing children and young people
with various opportunities, arranging
activities that allow them to enjoy
their leisure time and to gain various
life skills, while avoiding any kind of
addiction.
TBM expanding also into the
private sector
Green Crescent has expanded its TBM
training also into the private sector
following the public sector. Green
Crescent’s TBM program has been
disseminated to more than 3,000
personnel in the head office of TYH
Tekstil in Istanbul, and to other regions
in the country. Under the program,
TBM training was given by Green
Crescent’s expert trainers to help
people get into the habit of leading a
healthy life. Green Crescent responds
to TBM training requests received
from institutions and organizations.
