I WILL KEEP AWAY MY
CHILDREN D ROM ADDICTIONS
You have two brilliant children. How is your
intrafamilial communication? For instance, do you
think affirming all demands of children is a correct
approach?
A family founded on love and respect is
indestructible. I try to maintain this basis in
communication with my wife and children. They
mean the world to me. Irresponsible behaviour
is non-acceptable in that matter. When it comes
to addiction, I will talk to them as their father and
friend on this subject when they are 11-13 years
old. Then I will explain the outcomes of addiction
and show them some examples. Even the timing
of these kind of talks matters. If exaggerated or
overdone, it would be fruitless. If underestimated,
it would not work, either. Parents should keep
optimal balance so that the child won’t get curious
and be willing to try drugs.
When
someone
comes up with a
problem, here is my
question: “Is there any
possible solution to this
anywhere? If yes, “Then,
you should change your
attitude in no time,”
I say.
