Being the world's longest established
institution founded to fight addiction,
the Green Crescent carried its
organizational structure to the
international level in addition to
the branches formed inside Turkey.
Within this scope, the Green
Crescent became a global non-
governmental organization by
establishing a federation consisting of
representatives frommany countries
all over the world. With the Green
Crescent offices founded in some 34
countries so far, the aim is to share
the experience of battling against
addictions with other countries and aid
their endeavors in this regard. Having
carried its international activities
one step further, the Green Crescent
gathered the present and future Green
Crescent offices under the umbrella
of the International Federation of
Green Crescents by signing the
founding declaration in April, 2016. The
Federation is based in Istanbul.
