(YEDAM)
In 2013, the Green Crescent changed its charter
to include among its activities rehabilitation services.
The Green Crescent Counselling Center (YEDAM) was
founded in 2015. YEDAM initially began to offer counseling
service with its hotline 444 79 75. Later, it put into service
two service buildings in Üsküdar and Cerrahpaşa districts of
Istanbul in 2016 and the Eyyubiye Service Building in Şanlıurfa
province in January 2017. The Green Crescent offers free psycho-
social counselling and rehabilitation services to addicts and
their families through YEDAM. Again, YEDAM’s team of expert
psychologists, all of them specialized in addiction, inform
callers about drug and alcohol addiction, provide proper
guidance, advice and counselling services as well. Along
with psychological counselling, YEDAM also offers
social support to help addicted individuals to
reintegrate into society and carries out
family therapies and awareness
raising activities.
FINANCIAL
SUPPORTPROGRAMS
The Green Crescent also supports
projects related with addiction. As
part of its Financial Support Programs,
it provides grants and supervisory
assistance to projects by universities,
non-governmental organizations and
youth groups. Additionally, it offers
scholarships to graduate and doctoral
students conducting thesis
studies on addiction.
