n cooperation with the Ministry of
National Education, Green Crescent
held the 9th “Healthy Generation,
Healthy Future” talent competition to
raise awareness on the fight against
addiction
among
young
people
and children across Turkey. The
competition attracted 185,763 entries
from 16,476 schools with the theme of
addiction, with awards given in both
visual and literary categories. Record-
breaking participation was noted in
the first stage of the competition, and
following the selection of the winners
in 81 provinces, the top three visual
and literary works were chosen in the
primary, secondary and high school
categories. The ceremony to mark the
even saw awards handed to 19 students
by Green Crescent President Prof
Mücahit Öztürk and Green Crescent
Member of the Board Esra Albayrak.
The award ceremony was attended by
students fromall across Turkey, as well
as their parents and teachers, and was
held at Green Crescent Headquarters
on May 3, 2019.
The
award

of Special Education and Guidance,
and painter İsmail Acar. Awards
were given to 19 students, who were
selected from among the winners in 81
provinces at the award ceremony and
children’s festival. Prior to the opening
speeches, the TRT Istanbul Children’s
Radio Polyphonic Choir gave a concert,
impressing the audience with their
beautiful songs.

Noting that the entire Green Crescent
family was very happy that day, Green
Crescent President Prof. Öztürk said,
“We asked 185,763 young people to
create works depicting the fight
against addiction, and they responded
very well. This is very important.
