The inclusion of the theme of fighting
addiction in their will, in their minds,
constitute a cornerstone for them
and the people around them in the
fight against addiction. Every work
submitted to the competition is very
important for us, as it is very precious
for us that they are able to create
a work depicting the fight against
addiction and to compete at that age.
Again, I would like to thank everyone
who took part. If we do not want our
children to grow into sullen adults, we
must start the fight at an early age and
raise happy and healthy individuals.
As Green Crescent, we continue to
work to this end and we are expecting
your support.”
“You’ll always have a place under
the roof of Green Crescent”
Green Crescent Board Member Dr.
Esra Albayrak took the floor at the
award ceremony to draw attention to
the need to carry out such activities:
“Such activities are a responsibility
for us. The participation of our young
people requires great will. We thank
everyone. We would like to thank
our dear children and young people,
as well as the teachers who support
them and everyone who stands by
them. I congratulate you, and wish
you continued success. I would like
to remind you that you will always
have a place under the roof of Green
Crescent. We are always here, as your
brothers and sisters.”
The competition has spread all over
the country over the last 3 years
Prof. Ahmet Emre Bilgili, General
Director of Special Education and
Guidance Services in the Ministry of
National Education (MONE), pointed
out that addiction was one of the most
significant challenges in the world
today, threatening both individuals
and society.
He noted that the competition that
has been held as a collaborative effort
of the Ministry of National Education
and Green Crescent for nine years has
reached a significant point, having
spread all over the country in the last
three years after being held only in
Istanbul for six years.
