established in 2018.
· Tobacco and cannabis are among
the most prevalent addictions in
Morocco.
· The Moroccan Green Crescent’s
activities have included:
- Participation at a conference
entitled “National Debate on Civil
Society andDrug Policies” organized
by the Ministry of Civil Society.
- Communication meeting held with
various NGOs at the Youth Center of
the Municipality of Bouskoura.
- Organization of an International
Conference on Addictions.

· The Somali Green Crescent was
founded in 2015.
· Drug addiction is one of the most
prominent threats to Somalian
society.
· The Somali Green Crescent’s
activities have included:
- Seminars to raise awareness about
addictions.
- Meetings held with stakeholders
such as the Somali Embassy in
Turkey, TIKA, Ministries, religious
institutions and student unions.
- Awareness raising activities about
drug addiction.
- Organization of an awareness
raising program about addictions
on the radio.

· Malaysian Green Crescent was
established in 2016
· Tobacco is among the most
prevalent addictions in Malaysia.
· The Malaysian Green Crescent’s
activities have included:
- Training courses delivered to
volunteers under the initiative
“Green Crescent for the Young”.
- At the e-sport festival, a stand was
opened to warn of the dangers of
gaming addiction was established.
- Organization of an International
Health Conference.
- OnWorldMental Health Day, a stand
was opened to raise awareness of
behavioral addictions.

· The Serbian Green Crescent was
established in 2016.
· Alcohol is one of the most prevalent
addictions in Serbia.
· The Serbian Green Crescent’s
activities have included:
- Seminars for primary school
students on addictions and their
consequences.
- Seminars on “Effects of Excessive
Phone and Screen Use” in schools.
- -Under the project “Education is the
Best Prevention”, seminars were
held on the dangers of tobacco,
alcohol and drug addiction.
Sudanese Green Crescent Society

· The Sudanese Green Crescent was
established in 2014.
· Drug addiction is one of the most
prominent threats to Sudanese
society.
· The Sudanese Green Crescent’s
activities have included:
- Addiction awareness campaigns
launched
in
six
schools
in
cooperation with the Education
Departments.
- Collaborative discussions held with
the Sudanese Parliament, various
governmental agencies and NGOs.

· Green Crescent Zimbabwe was
established in 2015.
· Tobacco,
alcohol
and
drugs
are among the most prevalent
addictions in Zimbabwe.
· Green
Crescent
Zimbabwe’s
activities have included:
- Celebration of Green Crescent
Week with the Zimbabwe Medical
Association.
- Participation in a workshop held at
Midlands State University.
- Organization of a panel on
behavioral addictions, attended by
psychiatrists.
- Participation in an addiction
seminar organized by the Zenzega
Church, where an awareness raising
stand was erected and a speech
given.
