· The Lebanese Green Crescent was
established in 2016.
· Tobacco and drugs are the leading
forms of addiction in Lebanon.
· The Lebanese Green Crescent’s
activities have included:
- Organization of a “Conference on
Internet Use from the Perspective
of Addiction”, in collaboration with
the Lebanese Ministry of Social
Affairs.
- Awareness
raising
seminars
on addiction involving 700,000
students from 25 schools.
- Organization of an awareness
campaign entitled “May 31 World No
Tobacco Day” in cooperation with
the Municipality of Tripoli.
- Launched the “Mobile Awareness
Bus” project in order to raise
awareness of addictions and to
ensure immediate and on-the-spot
interventions.
Montenegro Green Crescent - Zeleni
Polumjesec
· The Montenegrin Green Crescent
was established in 2014.
· Tobacco and alcohol are the leading
forms of addiction in Montenegro.
· The Montenegrin Green Crescent’s
activities have included:
- Under
the
project
entitled
“Prevention
of
Smoking
in
Secondary Schools”, conducted
surveys in four schools in Podporica
and presented the results of the
survey to the students in the form
of workshops.
- Held a conference on addictions
in Montenegro State University
Faculty of Law.
- A visit by the President of the
Montenegrin Green Crescent Amer
Halilovic to the Secretariat General
of the Turkish Green Crescent.
Green Crescent in Bosnia and
Herzegovina
· Green Crescent in Bosnia &
Herzegovina was established in
2014.
· Alcohol is one of the leading
addictions in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
· Bosnia & Herzegovina Green
Crescent’s activities have included:
- Seminars on the harm associated
with drugs, alcohol and smoking in
secondary and high schools.
- Seminars on the harm inflicted
by drugs, alcohol and smoking in
religious schools.
Georgia Green Crescent - Gürcistan
Yeşilay Cemiyeti
· The Georgian Green Crescent
Society was established in 2015.
· Alcohol is one of the leading
addictions in Georgia.
· The Georgian Green Crescent’s
activities have included:
- Under the “Experience Sharing
Program”oftheTurkishCooperation
and Coordination Agency (TIKA), an
awareness seminar, held for the
volunteers that came to Georgia for
the program.
- A theater performance in Marneuli,
Georgia to raise awareness of
addictions. The performance was
attended by 270 people, including
representatives from the Embassy
of Turkey in Georgia, Tbilisi TIKA,
the Yunus Emre Institute and
MUSIAD.
- Talks held with the Tobacco
Control Association of Georgia, and
consultations on planned projects.
- Organization
of
a
seminar
entitled “Methods for Combating
Addictions”.
- On World Children’s Day, visits to
kindergartens to promote healthy
living.
Bulgaria Green Crescent - Yeşilay
Bulgaria
· The Bulgarian Green Crescent was
established in 2015.
· Alcohol is oneof themost significant
addictions in Bulgaria.
· Bulgarian
Green
Crescent’s
activities have included:
- Seminars on technology addiction
and the associated harm during
Green Crescent Week.
- A
conference
on
technology
addiction.
- An iftar event attended by the
Ambassador of the Republic of
Turkey to Bulgaria and the Grand
Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria.

· Green Crescent Indonesia was
established in 2016.
· Tobacco is one of themost prevalent
addictions in Indonesia.
· Green
Crescent
Indonesia’s
activities have included:
- Seminars on “Quitting Smoking” in
22 schools.
- Organization of the “World of
Addiction 2018” conference.
- Launch of the Generation Magazine,
which aims to steer young
people away from addictions. A
