symptoms can change according to the substance. If your
answer is yes for any of these questions, think elaborately
if the situation can relate to another possible cause. Make
sure these symptoms are not general problems, but
changes that have appeared recently.
Physical Symptoms

Have you recognized any disorder or imbalance in
his/her movements?

Behavioral Symptoms
■
Has he/she started to have problems at school
lately?
■
Has he/she lost interest in school or classes?
■
Has his/her success decreased lately?
■
Has he/she lost concentration?
■
Has he/she lost interest in out-of-school activities
like hobbies or sports?

Do you receive complaints from his/her friends or
teachers?

Has his/her pocket money been insufficient or he/
she lost money?

Have you lost any precious belongings at home?

Have you heard that he/she borrowed money from
his/her friends?
■
Have you witnessed he/she stealing something?
■
Do you recognize he/she has been isolated from the
world, getting introvert and behaving suspiciously?

Has he/she grown interest in music styles, bands or
posters that are related to alcohol and drugs?
■
Has he/she started to demand more freedom,
violent acts like slamming the doors or avoiding eye-
contact while talking?
■
Is there any changes in his/her friend circle or the
places where he/she hangs out?
■
Has he/she started to use eye drops in an attempt
to hide his/her red eyes?

Have you recognized any tendencies to commit
crime?
Psychological Symptoms
■
Have you observed an unexpected and sudden
change in his/her personality?
■
Does he/she go through sudden changes, anger or
unreasonable laughter?
■
Do you observe any unexpected hyperactivity from
time to time?
■
Does he/she experience a general loss in
motivation, concentration disorder, distraction or
inertia?
■
Has he/she been going through unreasonable fear,
becoming introvert, getting nervous and extremely
suspicious?
