Green Crescent has been honored with the Silver Trophy in the Best Use of Social Media category at the MENA Digital Awards, a respected competition attracting over 500 brands across the region.
The recognition came for Green Crescent’s impactful #TamZamanı (“RightNow”) campaign, launched during the COVID-19 pandemic—coinciding with the organization’s 100th anniversary. The campaign kicked off with a compelling short film titled “Now Is the Time to Quit Smoking,” emphasizing that smoking increases the risk of severe COVID-19 symptoms by up to 14 times, and its message was amplified throughout the year via Green Crescent’s social media platforms.
The MENA Digital Awards honors outstanding digital projects created using internet, mobile, and marketing technologies. Known for upholding international standards throughout its judging process, the competition is evaluated by a distinguished panel of 43 experts, including representatives from leading global brands across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa. This year, more than 500 submissions from numerous global brands competed, with 109 campaigns making it to the shortlist.
