The Muaythai Super League Final was hosted by the Green Crescent at the historic Sepetçiler Pavilion in Istanbul, bringing together athletes, officials, and supporters. Following a series of intense matchups, the champions secured their places on Türkiye’s National Muaythai Team and will go on to represent the country at the upcoming European Muaythai Championship.
Organized in collaboration with the Turkish Muaythai Federation, the Super League Final was held on August 16, 2025, under the slogans “Addiction-Free Future, Healthy Generations” and “There’s No Recovery Without Confrontation.” Attendees included Istanbul Vice Governor Fahrettin Göncü, Green Crescent Deputy President Doruk Malhan, Green Crescent Board Member and Vice Chair of Green Crescent Sports Club Hasan Siret Albayrak, Turkish Muaythai Federation President Hasan Yıldız, national athlete Çağan Atakan Arslan, and members of the press. Fourteen athletes competed fiercely in the ring for the championship titles.
Across seven finals, featuring eight women and six men, champions included Cihan Doğu, Utku Mete Yağcı, and Sercan Koç in the men’s category, while Ece Kayış, Hatice Öksüz, Elif Keskin, and Selver Aktürk triumphed among the women. Championship belts were presented by Hasan Siret Albayrak, with trophies awarded to the runners-up. Following each round, the Green Crescent delegation presented commemorative plaques to the participants. The newly crowned champions, having secured their places on the National Team, will now represent Türkiye in the European Muaythai Championship.
“Sport is one of the most effective tools in preventing addiction”
Ahead of the matches, Green Crescent President Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Dinç highlighted the importance of sport in addiction prevention:
“One of the most effective ways to prevent addiction is through sport. At Green Crescent, we see projects that encourage young people and all members of society to embrace healthy living as a vital part of our mission. Our athletes stepped into the ring today with the message: ‘It’s true—we stand strong against addiction.’”

Following the competitions, Green Crescent Board Member and Vice Chair of Green Crescent Sports Club Hasan Siret Albayrak stated:
“We believe regular physical activity helps individuals steer clear of harmful habits, while also promoting physical and mental well-being and instilling discipline in life. That’s why we prioritize sports initiatives in addiction prevention and fully support all athletes who stand against harmful behaviors. We congratulate today’s competitors and champions, and wish them a healthy, addiction-free life and continued success.”
Turkish Muaythai Federation President Hasan Yıldız remarked:
“On behalf of the entire Muaythai community, I extend my sincere thanks to the Green Crescent for hosting the Muaythai Super League Final and once again underscoring the vital role of sport in addiction prevention. I am confident that our champions, after these thrilling matches, will represent Türkiye with pride on the international stage.”
