Survey On Substance Use To Assess The Impact Of The Pandemic

It is assumed that the COVID-19 pandemic and societal responses during quarantine days and curfews have a significant impact on substance use and addictive behaviors. To investigate and report  the current impact of the Covid-19 epidemic in patterns of alcohol and drug use in the meantime, Turkish Green Crescent Society created an online anonymous survey and already implemented it in Turkey with approximately 400 patients. For a broader perspective and universal findings, we would like to compare our reports, with the situation around the globe. Therefore, we would greatly appreciate it if you could help us with this study.    
 
This survey is designed for substance use disorder patients who use/have used drugs and/or alcohol and are aged 18 or above. The survey should be applied by health care professionals, psychiatrists, psychologists, and others who have contact with outpatients. The survey can be conducted face to face or by phone, online meeting, etc.. The therapeutic relationship between the practitioner and the patient was taken into account when creating the questions.  
 
The survey is available in 6 languages; English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, French, and Portuguese. You can apply this survey to as many patients as you want. If you do not have direct contact with outpatients, please share this survey with your appropriate contacts.  
 
We will share the results with you when finalized and you can also see the analysis for your region. However, in order to draw regional conclusions, the questionnaire should be applied to at least 30 participants from each country.  
 
The survey will be available until 30 June 2020. However, we will be happy if you can fill it out as soon as possible due to the transition process of the pandemic days.
