Drug Addiction Workshop

A workshop under the title "Drug Addiction in Turkey: Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation" was organized in Yalova, on July 16-17, 2014. The workshop reports have been published in a book by the Green Crescent. Participants included people from every walk of life such as psychiatrists, medical and legal doctors, Ministry of Health and NGO representatives, activists, constables, religious people, café owners, as well as addicts who underwent treatment.

The main goal was to combine everybody from all walks of life, getting their point of view and their set reports from all over Turkey, bringing people who work on the field, together with institutions and academicians. Report of “Drug Addiction in Turkey: Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation” workshop was published by the Green Crescent as the new action plan for drug abuse.
