Green Crescent Supports Young People’s Technology Projects at TEKNOFEST 2026 in Southeastern Türkiye
Green Crescent participated as a stakeholder organization in TEKNOFEST 2026, held in Şanlıurfa. Through its Technology Applications for Addiction Prevention Competition, Green Crescent encouraged young people to develop technology-based solutions to prevent addiction and showcased the finalist projects to visitors at the festival.
A total of 2,400 young people from 10 countries took part in Green Crescent’s technology competition, with 440 teams competing. Projects developed by the 32 finalist teams were showcased at the TEKNOFEST venue. Developed by nearly 100 young people, the finalist projects offered technology-based solutions to various forms of addiction, particularly alcohol, tobacco, substance, gambling, and internet addiction. The winning teams received their awards at the festival.
Green Crescent President Mehmet Dinç Meets with Finalists
Green Crescent President Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Dinç met with the young finalists at TEKNOFEST, hearing about their projects and sharing in their excitement. He also connected with young participants at the Green Crescent stand and took part in activities held throughout the festival.
Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Baykar and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), also visited the stand for Green Crescent’s Technology Applications for Addiction Prevention Competition. He spoke with the young competitors about their projects and shared in the excitement of young people developing technology-based solutions to prevent addiction.
Awareness Activities at the Green Crescent Stand
Throughout TEKNOFEST, Green Crescent held awareness activities and various addiction-related events at its stand, while also hosting the technology competition. Green Crescent also engaged with visitors, sharing information about its work to prevent addiction and its projects for young people.
